Student Clinic

Join us as we train the next generation of barefoot massage therapists.

Student clinic is open to approved clients and is held several times per year. To see if you qualify please read more below.

Details

The student clinic is held in a mixed-gender classroom environment with up to 4 clients receiving a massage at once while Mariah instructs.

  • You must be comfortable with deep sustained pressure, especially from our level 2 students.

  • You must be a current client who has had a massage with one of our trained staff.

  • Spaces are non-refundable*. Students travel from across the country and Canada to attend these classes. If you don’t show up, it greatly affects their training.

Before signing up for the student clinic, please read the specifics of each class.

*If we decide that you are not a good fit for the student clinic, we will refund your money in full.

Which class is right for you?



  • In this class, students are learning how to incorporate thai massage style stretching into their work.

    Wear comfortable clothing that you would wear to a yoga class. You will experience full body compression and passive stretching (we do the work while you relax)

    To be eligible for this student clinic: Please do not have any major range of motion restrictions.

    All therapists in this class have been practicing barefoot massage for some time already so while they are learning new techniques they bring skill and experience.

    These rounds are done in a mix gender classroom.

    These sessions are non-refundable so please be sure you can attend prior to signing up.

  • $45

    Deep but not as deep as our Level 2 class. If you get massage with us, then you are eligible for this clinic.


    The final round for students to put together everything they have put together over the class.

    Full Body Massage

    90 minutes - 2 hours, depending on pacing

  • $35

    Students in this class are learning to safely use their whole body weight on clients. This can be scary for students starting out and to give them the best chance of this, we need clients for this round who are at least 175 lbs and can handle sustained deep work.

    PLEASE: Only sign up if you have had a session at THE SPACE and know you can take sustained deep pressure.

    These rounds are done entirely while you are face down with deep repetitive work at the back, hips, and legs while the students are actively learning.

    Mariah may demo strokes so you can give feedback to your student therapist.


    - 2-hour session

  • $50
