Supporting Wildfire Relief in Our Spokane Community

Our hearts are broken for the people who have been displaced, the homes that have been lost and everyone still living with uncertainty because of the fires across our region.

Spokane is our home. THE SPACE has been part of this community for more than a decade, and in moments like this, simply saying that we care does not feel like enough.

I have lived in Spokane my whole life, and some of the places burning right now are places I have known and loved for years. Riverside State Park is one of them. Watching these fires move through such beautiful, familiar parts of our community, on top of the devastating losses and displacement so many people are already facing, is heartbreaking.

This week, THE SPACE will donate 5% of all sales to Innovia Foundation’s Wildfire Emergency Response Fund.

Why we chose Innovia Foundation

Innovia’s Eastern Washington wildfire fund supports nonprofit organizations, businesses and community groups responding to the immediate and long-term needs of people affected by wildfires in our region. Innovia works with community partners to direct grants where they are most needed.

Past wildfire funding has helped local organizations provide practical support such as food, clothing, emergency shelter, gas cards, utility assistance, debris cleanup and longer-term recovery services.

That local focus matters to us.

What your appointment supports this week

Every service and product purchase at THE SPACE this week will contribute to the donation.

You do not need to select anything special or add anything to your appointment. We will calculate 5% of all sales for the week and donate it to the fund.

This is not meant to turn a devastating situation into a promotion. It is simply one concrete way our small business can contribute while continuing to serve the community around us.
